       On April 12, 2017, Dr. Gary Clyde Hufbauer, Reginald Jones Senior Fellow of the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), gave a special lecture to the students on the topic of “The Economic Consequences of President Trump.” Dr. Hufbauer brought his insight about President Trump’s ambitious goals relevant to real GDP growth, job creations, and the US trade deficit. He also explained about the Korean trade barriers to the US exports such as technical barriers to trade, services and investment barriers. At the end of the session, Dr. Hufbauer also answered many questions from the participating students about how other countries should respond to new fiscal and trade policy plans by the Trump Administration.
