GSIS-SNU held its very first Sports Day on September 9th 2012. The event’s main purpose was to enhance students’ sense of belonging, promote fellowship, and increase efficiency in studying through interaction and communication between students and faculty. Approximately 80 students from GSIS participated in the event, including 15 professors and staff members. It began with the Dean’s welcoming address. He said that he hopes the success of the event can realize the Sports Day as an annual event. Games in the morning included kickball and tug of war. Barbeque and other various types of food were provided by the Student Council for lunch. Afternoon games included soccer, limbo, team jump rope, and three-legged races. The winning team received their prizes during the closing ceremony and a group of students and professors moved to a nearby pub to celebrate the success of the Sports Day.
