The Public Lecture of 'the Asia and the World' series this semester
was held on May 17th at Sochon Convention Hall.
The speaker Prof. Takatoshi Ito, Dean of Graduate School of Public Policy
at the University of Tokyo, gave an informative and insightful lecture on the topic of
‘RMB (Yuan) Internationalization and Its Impact on Asia.’
He examined the progress of the RMB toward international status so far and
laid out the steps Chinese authorities must take in order to achieve
the internationalization of their currency while maintaining financial stability.
