Reshma Kamath: Winner of TransAtlantic Research Award

 Reshma Kamath, majoring in International Cooperation '10, was chosen as one of four winners
of the First Annual TransAtlantic Research Award organized by the Atlantic Treaty Association
and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). This Research Award contest was open to
all university students in 10 BRIC+ nations, who had to write an essay on new emerging security
challenges. Ms. Kamath's paper was titled "Cyber Sustainability in India: Potential for Euro-Atlantic
Partnership," for which she received the opportunity to visit Brussels, Belgium for a week long
study tour. Some of the highlights of this study tour were visiting the NATO Headquarters in Brussels,
visiting the NATO E-3A AWACS Air Base, receiving lectures and briefings from distinguished officials
from Euro-Atlantic Institutions, and drafting a policy statement on North Atlantic relations with its
global partners.
