Professor Julia Qin of Wayne State University Law School gave a lecture titled
"China and the WTO: Reflections on the Tenth Year Anniversary of Membership"
as part of GSIS Distinguished Lecture Series in Sochon Convention Hall on
October 24, 2011. Professor Qin examined the extent and ways in which WTO
membership contributed to the meteoric rise of China's economic power.
She reflected upon how China's domestic governance and and China's attitude
toward international legal order were affected since its accession to the WTO
ten years ago. She also examined how China's participation in the WTO
influenced the world trading system and the issues and implications of the issues
in the China-WTO relationship to the world.
