GSIS students won the second prize at the graduate student regional economic thesis
competition held by Korea Institution for International Economic Policy (KIEP).
 
Nari Park (Int'l Commerce '08), Minyoung Lee (Int'l Commerce '10), and Minjeong Han
(Area Studies '10) wrote a thesis title "A Study on the Possibility of India as the Next
China and its Independent Economic Development Model: Strategies on State-wise
Market Segmentation' under the instruction of Prof. Chong-Sup Kim.




They had an award ceremony on May 25 at KIEP, and the researchers from Center
for Regional Economic Studies showed expectation for GSIS students to become
experts on the regional economic studies with participation in this thesis competition.
