A distinguished lecture was given by Professor Erik Thorbecke
(H.E. Babcock Professor of Economics, Emeritus at Cornell University) on March 23rd, 2011
at the GL-Room. He took some time to introduce his most recent publication named
"The Poor under Globalization in Asia, Latin America, and Africa" and delivered his lecture on
the topic of linking poverty to globalization in these regions. After his lecture a Q and A session
was held where many students and professors raised various questions.
