In March 2014, the Korean government established an academic think tank called "Nuclear Non-Proliferation Education & Research Center (NEREC)" at KAIST to undertake education and research to foster international nuclear non-proliferation conducive to peaceful use of nuclear technology.

As a major part of the Center’s annual activities, NEREC runs “Summer Fellows Program” for undergraduate and graduate students. For the last 9 years, around 232 students from 95 universities in 47 countries had a wonderful summer time by studying and doing research on nuclear nonproliferation and experiencing Korean culture. We would love to meet another batch of excellent students this summer.
