[안보정책연구소 Center for Security Policy Studies] 2021 인간안보 심포지엄 개최 - 2021 Human Security Annual Symposium

안보정책연구소는 안보 분야의 여러 주요 현안들에 대해 국내외 안보 전문가들의 심층적인 토론을 통하여 다양한 안보 문제를 고민하고 정책적 방향을 제시하고자 매년 심포지엄을 개최하고 있습니다. 올해 심포지엄 주제는 “인간안보의 회색지대: 탈북민과 제3국 출생 아이들”로, 북한이탈주민과 제3국에서 출생한 그들의 자녀들이 직면한 현실에 대해 인간안보적 관점에서 논의하고, 유엔을 비롯한 국제기구 전문가들을 모시고 해결방안을 모색하고자 합니다.

제1, 2세션에서는 북한이탈주민과 제3국 출생 탈북청소년들이 처한 여러 인간안보적 위기들을 “천국의 국경을 넘다” 다큐멘터리 상영 및 실제 이탈주민과 제3국 출생 탈북청소년들의 인권 향상을 도모하는 관계자들의 생생한 증언을 통해 진단하며, 제3세션에서는 인권 및 인간안보를 중점적으로 다루는 국제기구 전문가들을 초청하여 정책 및 협력의 중요성에 대해 논의해보고자 합니다.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 2021 CSPS-Korea Symposium on “Human Security in the Gray Zone: North Korean Defectors and Their Children,” co-organized by the Center Security and Policy Studies-Korea (CSPS-Korea) and the Human Rights in North Korea (THINK), a non-governmental organization that advocates human rights of the North Korean defectors and their children.

This year’s Symposium focuses on the theme of Human Security and aims to address the human security challenges faced by the North Korean defectors and their third country-born children. The Symposium opens up its arena of discussion by showing a documentary film on the lives of the North Korean defectors and their children born in the third country followed by a plenary session in which the defectors and the children themselves talk about their experience. The Symposium then brings together the experts and representatives from the United Nations offices and non-governmental organizations that advocate human rights and human security.

The Symposium will be held in a hybrid format on 26 May, 2021 from 10:00 to 15:00. Under the current COVID-19 circumstance, there would be a limited number of available seats and it is highly recommended to fill out the RSVP form as soon as possible so as to reserve your seats on-site. The Symposium will also be broadcasted live via online platforms for the participants who are not able to visit the venue.
