아프리카 경제전망(African Economic Outlook)은 경제 정보 수집, 정책 대화, 효율적인 사업 활동에 참고할 수 있는 아프리카개발은행의 대표 보고서입니다. 올해 주제는 "부채 해결에서 성장으로: 아프리카의 나아갈 길(From Debt Resolution to Growth: The Road Ahead for Africa"입니다.

이번 행사는 COVID-19 에 따른 아프리카의 최신 상황과 경제 트렌드를 소개합니다. 보고서에 제시된 분석과 제안 사항에 대하여 당행의 이코노미스트와 아시아 전문가가 의견을 교환하고, 향후 아프리카와 아시아의 보다 많은 협력 방안을 논의합니다.

We are pleased to invite you to the webinar to discuss the Bank’s African Economic Outlook (AEO) 2021 with Asian audiences. The Asia External Representation Office and Macroeconomic Policy, Forecasting & Research Department of the African Development Bank will host this significant event on Thursday, May 20^th, 2021, at 5:00-7:00 pm (Seoul time).

The theme of the 2021 AEO is “From Debt Resolution to Growth: The Road Ahead for Africa.” The report consists of 3 parts. Chapter 1 introduces Africa’s growth performance and the effects of the COVID-19 on extreme poverty and human capital. Chapter 2 analyzes the causes and consequences of Africa’s debt dynamics. Chapter 3 proposes policy options to improve the process of debt resolution and governance and to ultimately realize sustainable growth in Africa.

This is the second AEO’s event targeting Asian audiences, following the successful implementation of the previous event held last year with around 350 participants. This webinar aims to deepen further understanding of Africa's latest developments and economic trends, promote dialogue and collaboration between the Bank’s specialists and Asian scholars to realize sustainable growth in Africa. The webinar will provide a great opportunity for participants to discuss the findings of the report with a wide range of Asian stakeholders, including policymakers, diplomats, academics, think tanks, regional development organizations, civil society, students, journalists, and the general public.
