India-South Korea Youth Forum
Global Youth is an apolitical, not-for-profit organization, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It seeks to empower youth ambassadors for a global generation; as such its primary focus is university students, both in India and abroad. It is mentored by distinguished diplomats, academicians, journalists, and young professionals to encourage the youth to take a keen interest in global affairs and policy making, and places a strong emphasis on female leadership. Mr. Rishabh Gulati, Managing Editor, NewsX, Mr. Gaurav Ban, Public Policy and Corporate Affairs Professional, Ms. Sanna Bedi, Innovation Fund Associate, UNICEF's Office of Innovation, Ms. Jhoomar Mehta, Development Finance Consultant, and Ms. Charumati Haran, Master of Public Policy Candidate, Hertie School, Germany are the Executive Directors of the organization.
India-South Korea Youth Forum is one of the 15 forums functioning under Global Youth, as a part of the International Council. We aim to understand and foster the bilateral relations between India and South Korea by engaging with youth from South Korea to set up a direct interaction between students of both countries who are interested in foreign relations, policy, and diplomacy. We aim to facilitate the exchange of ideas and opinions on issues of international significance between both countries.
In the last one year, the India-South Korea Youth Forum organised a Chat With a Diplomat session with Mr. Yoo Chang-ho, Minister-Counsellor, Political Affairs, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in India, at the Korean Cultural Centre India.
Our activities include:
- Virtual interactive sessions, policy briefs/research papers, public discussions on social media
- Offline events: food walks, focus groups, case studies among others.
