1. About Daesang Foundation
○ Established by Daesang Corporation, one of Korea's leading general food companies, the
Daesang foundation has its origins deeply rooted in the group's overseas expansion efforts.
Daesang Corporation ventured into Indonesia in the early 1970s as part of its pioneering bio
business initiatives.
2. Purpose of the Scholarship
○ By supporting Asian students to study in Korea, Daesang aims to cultivate global leaders who
have knowledge in Korean economy, social and culture, and eventually build a global network.
3. Eligible Applicants
○ Newly admitted Indonesian students to Seoul National University’s Graduate school for Fall 2024
※ Priority will be given to students majoring in Food and Nutrition, or Agriculture-related fields
4. Total Candidates to be Selected
○ 2 persons in total
5. Amount of Scholarship & Types
○ Liberal Arts and Social Science majors: 19,000,000 KRW per year
- Categories: Tuition Fees - 7,000,000 KRW(maximum), Living stipend-12,000,000 KRW
○ Natural Science and Engineering majors: 20,000,000 KRW per year
- Categories: Tuition Fees - 8,000,000 KRW(maximum), Living stipend -12,000,000 KRW
○ 500,000 KRW for settlement aid for the first visit to Korea
6. Support Period
○ Master's degree program, PhD program : 2 years (maximum)
○ Combined master’s and doctorate degree program : 3 years (maximum)

○ Academic transcripts and degree certificates (for doctoral students, transcripts and certificates
for both master's and bachelor's degrees) from universities in Indonesia
○ Transcript of TOPIK score of level 3 or higher (not mandatory, bonus points for those who submit)
* Copies of other evidential documents to prove the statements written in the application are also required
8. Deadline:
