2차 연구생 등록기간: 3월 27일 17:00까지
2. 논문계획서 심사 일정
가. 신청서 접수
1) 제출서류 : 박사학위 논문계획서 발표 신청서 (붙임), 지도교수 승인메일
2) 제 출 일 : 2024.4.3.(수) ~ 4.12.(금) 오후 5시까지 (시간엄수)
3) 제출장소 : 이메일 제출 (hkkim0@snu.ac.kr)
* Mail title: (Ph.D Proposal) Submission of Proposal Documents_Name+Student ID
나. 논문계획서 심사일 : 심사위원장의 책임 하에 일정을 정하여 실시
다. 논문계획서 심사 결과표 제출일 : 지도교수가 2024.7.5.(금)까지 제출
3. 박사학위 논문계획서 심사위원회 구성
가. 논문지도교수의 자격
- 본교 국제대학원 국제학과 조교수(박사학위 소지) 이상의 전임교수
나. 심사위원 자격
- 본교 조교수 이상의 전임교수
- 박사학위를 소지한 교외 전문가
a. 타교 전임교원으로 조교수 이상
b. 연구기관의 연구원으로 박사학위 취득 후 2년 이상 해당분야 근무자
c. 위의 기준에 해당하는 경력이 있다고 대학원장이 인정한 자
다. 논문계획서 심사위원회 구성
1) 인원수와 구성
- 3인 이상의 심사위원을 지도교수가 학과장을 경유하여 대학원장에 추천
- 위원회는 위원장 1인, 부위원장 1, 위원 1인 이상으로 구성
- 심사위원은 논문계획서 심사 과정에서 부득이한 사정이 있을 경우 교체 가능
2) 심사위원장
- 논문지도교수, 명예교수 및 교외전문가는 심사위원장이 될 수 없음
- 심사위원장은 심사위원과 동일한 의결권한 행사
- 심사위원장은 논문심사의 진행을 주관함
2024 Spring Semester Thesis Proposal for Doctoral Program
1. Requirements
A) Applicants who have passed all thesis qualifying exams: Comprehensive Examination, and English Language Examination (TOEFL, TEPS, etc.)
2024-1 TQE result announcement: April 8th on GSIS website Uploaded on April 5th
B) Applicants who are registered as a research student
2nd Round research student registration: Mar. 15, 2024 09:00(Fri) ~ Mar. 27, 2024 17:00(Wed) (for 9 days)
2. Procedure for Thesis Proposal
A) Submission of Thesis Proposal Application Form
(a) Period: April 3 (Wed) ~ April 12(Fri) 17:00 (must be punctual)
(b) Submission: E-mail to hkkim0@snu.ac.kr
* Mail title: (Ph.D Proposal) Submission of Proposal Documents_Name+Student ID
(c) Needed Documents:
① Application for doctoral thesis proposal (attached)
② Thesis advisor’s approval message
B) Screening of Thesis Proposal:
Presentation will be conducted under the charge of Chairperson
C) Submission Date of ‘Result of Doctoral Thesis Proposal’
Advisory professor must submit the screening results to the Administration Office by July 5, 2024.
3. Thesis Proposal Committee
A) Eligibility for a thesis advisor: SNU GSIS professor, associate professor, assistant professor.
B) Committee Member Qualifications
(a) Members at Seoul National University with a PhD
- Must be registered as assistant professor, associate professor, or professor
(b) Members outside of Seoul National University with a PhD
- Must be registered as an assistant professor, associate professor, or professor at a university
- Must be registered as a researcher from a research institute with a minimum of 2 years experience in relevant field OR
- Must be approved by the Dean of the GSIS as satisfying criteria as a Member
C) Committee Member Composition
(a) Number and Composition
- Thesis advisor will recommend 3 or more Committee Members to the Dean of the GSIS via the Chair of the Department
- Committee will compose of: 1 chair, 1 vice-chair, 1 or more members
- Committee Members can be changed, if the reason is approved
(b) Chair of Committee
- Thesis Advisor, Professors Emeritus and non-SNU professionals cannot be appointed Committee Chair
- Committee Chair has the right to exercise his or her voting power as other Members
- Committee Chair is responsible for thesis proposal procedure
