Global Hope Scholarship is given by the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation to foster outstanding graduate students from developing countries that have the potential to become global leaders. Please see details of the scholarship below and apply within the designated period.
1. Eligible Applicants (must meet all the below requirements)
- Academic status:
1) Graduate students who have admission to SNU for the 2021 Fall Semester OR
2) Graduate students who are currently going through their courses of a Master's or a PhD program
- Nationality: Must be a country listed on the DAC List of ODA Recipients (see attached list for details)
- Financial status: A student that does notl receive any other scholarship that provides monthly stipends
2. Candidates to be selected: 2 persons
3. Scholarship Benefits: Study Allowance (max. KRW 5,000,000 each semester)
4. Scholarship period (supported within the normative period)
- Master's degree program: max. 4 semesters
- Doctoral degree program: max. 6 semesters
5. Required documents
1) Master's degree program
- Application form (attached) select either Korean or English
- Academic transcript and graduation certificate of Bachelor's degree
- Academic transcript and enrolement certificate of Master's degree (freshmen for 2021 Fall semester do not need to submit academic transcript of Master's degree)
2) Doctoral degree program
- Application form (attached) select either Korean or English
- Academic transcript and graduation certificate of Bachelor's degree
- Academic transcript and graduation certificate of Master's degree
- Academic transcript and enrolement certificate of Doctoral degree (freshmen for 2021 Fall semester do not need to submit academic transcript of Doctoral degree)
6. Deadline: Both Email & Post Submission by July 16, 2021 (18:00)
1) Email submission: submit all required documents (scanned) to eakin@snu.ac.kr
2) Post submission: submit all required socuments (Original hard-copy) by post to below address

7. Final Acceptance results: September 2021 to be announced by e-mail (an interview will be held for those who passed the documents screening, approximately during late August. Only those accepted will be contacted)

삼성꿈장학재단에서 2021년 2학기 삼성꿈장학재단 글로벌 희망 장학생을 다음과 같이 모집하오니 관심 있는 외국인 유학생들은 지원하시기 바랍니다.
1. 지원자격 (동시 충족)
- 본교 석사 및 박사과정 신입생 혹은 재학 중인 외국인 유학생
* 생활비성 타 장학금 수혜 불가
- DAC List of ODA Recipients에 해당하는 개발도상국 출신 학생 (붙임 참조, 교포는 선발에서 제외)
- 외국 국적 소유자
2. 장학금: 한 학기 최대 500만원 지급 (장학 수혜상황에 따라 차등 지급)
3. 수혜기간: 석사과정생 4학기, 박사과정생 6학기 (졸업까지 남은 학기동안 수혜)
* 매 학기말 성적 심사를 통해 수혜 지속여부 결정
4. 선발인원: 최대 2명

7. 제출 기한: 2021. 7. 16.(금) 18:00 (원본서류 포함)
8. 유의사항
- 제출서류의 기재 내용이 부정확하거나 미비서류가 있는 경우 대상에서 제외
- 선발된 이후라도 허위기재 확인, 학적 변동 등이 발생할 경우 장학생 자격 상실
- 장학생 선발 후 매 학기 성적 심사를 통해 지속 수혜여부 결정
