Seoul National University(hereinafter SNU) is proud to announce the beginning of its acceptance for SNU Global Scholarship applications for Fall semester of 2016. SNU Global Scholarship is designed to enable highly competitive students to concentrate on their research, and to promote global research environment at SNU.
■ SNU Global Scholarship for Fall 2016
1. Scholarship Summary
- There are 3 types of scholarships in SNU Global Scholarship
- Applicants may apply for more than one scholarships among these.
2. Eligibility : International graduate students of GSIS
- An applicant must be a candidate for a master’s degree or a PhD and enrolled for at least 9 credits at the previous semester.
- In principle, those who just return after taking leave of absence are NOT qualified.
- In principle, newly admitted students or who have registered more than 4 semesters are NOT qualified. (have little possibility to be selected)
(☞ above conditions do NOT refer to Type 3)
3. Subsidies
1) Type 1: SNU Global Scholarship 1 & SNU Global Scholarship 2
: Tuition, Living Allowance (monthly KRW 1,200,000), Round-trip Airfare (☞ only for freshman)
2) Type 2 : SNU Global Scholarship 2
: Tuition
※ Students who were selected as a Global scholarship (type 2) recipient at the beginning of spring semester 2016 and noticed to receive scholarship until fall semester DO NOT need to apply again.
3) Type3 : Korean Language Special Program
: Tuition for Korean Language evening classes at the Language Education Institute of SNU (for 1 session, 10 weeks)
※ Applicants should fill in the on-line application for the program(evening class) until August 5th(Fri.), 2016

4. Subsidized Period: 1 year (2 semesters) (for type 1 and 2) or 1 session (for type 3)
※ Please note that the recipients of the SNU Global Scholarship Program might be restricted from taking leave of absence.

2) Transcript of academic record at your final educational institution (if applicable)
3) Certificate of work experience in public sector (if applicable)
