The 8th Euro-Asia Summer School in Tokyo (Hitotsubashi University, Japan) and Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) will be held from August 22nd to September 2nd.
The Euro-Asia Summer School is an annually held summer program by the EU Center at SNU and
it is a key opportunity for young talents to meet and interact and therefore to facilitate inter-cultural dialogues on global governance.
1. PROGRAM DATE
22 August - 26 August 2016: Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan
29 August - 2 September 2016: Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, KU Leuven, Belgium
2. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
1) Application Form (see attached): Fill out and submit to the EU Center (Building 140, Room S203).
2) Statement of Purpose: within 2 pages (A4) in English
3) Resume
4) A copy of transcript (undergraduate and graduate)
5) English proficiency certificate (mandatory)
3. APPLICATION DEADLINE: 9th May, 2016 (Monday) 4:00pm - updated
*The application package should be submitted directly to EU center in hard copy during the office hours
(If the office is closed, just put the documents under the door and leave a message at the message board attached on the EU center’s door.)
4. INTERVIEW: To be announced later. Approximately scheduled mid-May
5. COST
*The participation fee for the program is 400€. It includes registration, tuition, accommodation, half-board and domestic travel.
**The EU Center will provide financial assistance for each student. Please be noted that the amount of assistance is subject to change depending on the budget.
***Other Costs: In addition to the participation costs, airfare, insurance costs, a part of meals and other expenses must be paid by participants.
6. NOTES:
*Any accident, diseases, and other issues that might arise during his/her stay in Europe during this summer program would be due to the participant’s own responsibility,
of which expenses must be paid by him/herself. He or she must buy the Overseas Travel Accident Insurance on his or her own expenses.
**This program does not provide any credit.
