학내 eduroam 서비스 안내

정보화본부에서는 글로벌무선로밍서비스(Education Roaming, 이하 ＂eduroam＂)서비스를 다음과 같이 제공합니다. eduroam은 국내 및 해외 eduroam가입기관 방문시 별도의 가입절차 없이 소속기관의 인증정보를 사용하여 방문기관의 무선랜을 무료로 이용가능하여 학내 구성원이 학술행사 및 유학 등 해외 방문시 유용하게 이용할 수 있는 서비스입니다. 

가. 서비스 개시일 : 2015.8.17.~

나. 서비스 범위 : SNU무선랜이 설치된 장소 주변

다. 이용방법 : eduroam 프로파일 설정 후 SNU_ID@snu.ac.kr/비밀번호

<eduroam서비스 개시>

○ 소개

- 2015년 8월 17일부터 글로벌로밍서비스(Education Roaming, 이하‘eduroam’)를 시작

- 국내 및 해외 교육기관 중 eduroam 가입기관 방문시 별도의 가입절차 없이 소속기관의 인증정보(아이디, 비밀번호)로 방문기관의 무선랜을 무료 이용

(※ 방문기관의 무선랜이용가능 목록 중 “eduroam” 있으면 서비스 이용 가능)

○ 이용방법

우리대학 구성원은 인증 보안을 위해 별도의 무선랜 프로파일 작성 필요

(※ 설정정보는 별도의 이용매뉴얼 참고)

- eduroam 프로파일 작성 후 SNU_ID@snu.ac.kr 과 비밀번호로 인증

- 타기관 방문시 eduroam 선택 후 교내에서 이용방법과 동일하게 이용

○ 운영방안

국내 국공립대학무선랜공동활용서비스(keduroam) 서비스 8월31일까지 운영

(이후 무선랜이용가능 목록에서 삭제)

관악 및 연건 SNU무선랜 사용가능지역에 “eduroam” 서비스 제공

학내 eduroam 사용자는 학내 보안정책을 준수해야 하며, 우리구성원이 타기관방문시에도 해당기관의 보안정책에 따라 서비스 이용에 제한이 따를 수 있음)

<Eduroam Service>

SNU Office of Information Systems and Technology launched eduroam(education roaming) on August 17th, 2015.

Eduroam (Education Roaming) is the secure worldwide federated network access service developed for the international research and education community (69 countries / around 1,100 education institutions). It provides network access without the need to gain guest credentials on arrival to an eduroam location.

○ Method

How SNU member use eduroam

Select “eduroam” from SSID list and enter your credentials in the following format:

Username: SNU_ID@snu.ac.kr

Password: SNU password

Partly service can be limited according to the wireless management policies of each education institution.

※ Due to the characteristic of SNU authentication security, users need to additionally configure settings. (filling in eduroam profile)

How visitors login to eduroam at SNU

Persons from participating eduroam institutions may establish a wireless connection at SNU using their own university’s eduroam credentials after selecting eduroam from SSID list.

※ Visitors are available to use SNU_U+Zone and T wifi zone freely on campus.

○ Security Policies

Users have to observe security policies of SNU during using edurom at SNU.

- PC Securities : Internet connection is only available for users who installed PC Integrated Security S/W after accessing Wireless network. (Users are recommended to inspect PC vulnerability.)

- Internet Policies: Internet bandwidth per IP address is limited (15Mbps) and some of ports are blocked from 8:00 ~ 19:00.
