the Brookings Institution, visited GSIS and gave a lecture titled "China's Rise and America's
Response".
In his lecture, Dr. Bush concluded that China's rise has not upset the status quo of
the current international system and that conflict between US and China is not inevitable.
He stressed the point that US holds the future in its hands and working with other main actors,
China and the US can preserve world peace.
