Dear all,
SNU GSIS BK21 FOUR Program hosts various events inviting prominent figures to deliver distinguished lectures with our Special Lecture Series.
For our 35th session, we are inviting Executive Director Emma Campbell.
She will talk on the theme of "The State of Humanitarianism Today: MSF’s perspective from South Korea".

Abstract:
Using current conflicts including Gaza, Sudan and Ukraine as examples, Dr Campbell will discuss the failure to adhere to international law and its impact on the delivery of humanitarian aid. She will highlight a range of forgotten crises and the role of South Korea in responding to these humanitarian emergencies. She will also discuss the impact of the South Korean Government’s travel ban legislation on the capacity of South Korean humanitarian workers to play their role in responding to humanitarian crises.
This session is open to all SNU GSIS students, but attendance is mandatory for BK fellows. (Attendance and meaningful participation will be highly recognized for next semester's selection.)
Lunch will be served starting at 12:30 p.m., and the lecture will begin at 1:00 p.m.
