- Abstract:
Vietnam’s urban transport crisis, marked by congestion and pollution, underscores the urgency of sustainable mobility. As the country pursues its Net Zero 2050 goal, e-mobility emerges as a key solution. This lecture explores GCOO Vietnam’s first e-bike sharing service, and its pioneering role in Hue City’s green transport transition. GCOO Vietnam’s journey highlights challenges in regulations, infrastructure, and consumer adoption, along with strategies for overcoming them. The service aligns with Hue’s “Clean & Green Smart City” vision and the city's eco-friendly tourism policies. Looking ahead, GCOO Vietnam’s expansion through a B2B model offers insights into scaling sustainable transport across Vietnam. This lecture examines how e-mobility can reduce environmental impact while fostering a new paradigm of smart and sustainable urban planning.
