서울대학교 국제대학원 BK21 사업단에서 제46회 Special Lecture Series 개최 소식을 안내드립니다.

서울대학교 국제대학원 BK21 사업단에서는 대학원생들이 국제개발 및 지역학 분야의 다양한 연구 주제와 최신 학문적 논의를 접할 수 있도록 Special Lecture Series(SLS)를 정례적으로 운영하고 있습니다.

SLS는 국내외 여러 분야의 연구자와 전문가를 초청하여 각자의 연구와 경험을 공유하는 자리로, 학생들이 새로운 연구 주제와 접근법을 접하고 자신의 연구에 대한 아이디어와 영감을 얻는 한편, 학문적 네트워크를 넓히고 향후 연구 및 진로를 구상하는 데 도움이 되는 다양한 정보와 관점을 접할 수 있도록 마련되었습니다.

이번 제46회 Special Lecture Series에서는 성균관대학교 사학과 Max Altenhofen 교수님을 모시고 “Ambivalent Relations: German-Korean Technical Cooperation during the Cold War”를 주제로 강연을 진행합니다.

Altenhofen 교수님께서는 개발사와 개발협력, 한독관계, 과학기술사 등을 중심으로 폭넓은 연구를 이어오고 계십니다. 이번 강연에서는 축적해 오신 연구 성과를 바탕으로 냉전기 한국과 서독 간 기술협력의 역사적 전개와 그 관계가 지닌 다층적 의미를 살펴보실 예정입니다.

We are pleased to announce the 46th session of the SNU GSIS BK21 Special Lecture Series.

The SNU GSIS BK21 Program regularly hosts the Special Lecture Series (SLS) to provide graduate students with opportunities to engage with a wide range of research topics and recent scholarly discussions in international development and area studies.

Through the series, we invite scholars and experts from Korea and abroad to share their research, perspectives, and academic experiences with the GSIS community. The SLS offers students opportunities to explore new research questions and approaches, gain inspiration for their own work, broaden their academic networks, and gain useful perspectives and information for their future research and career development.

For our 46th Special Lecture Series, we are pleased to welcome Professor Max Altenhofen, Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Sungkyunkwan University, who will give a lecture entitled “Ambivalent Relations: German-Korean Technical Cooperation during the Cold War.”

Professor Max Altenhofen has pursued a broad range of research encompassing the history of development, development cooperation, German-Korean relations, and the history of science and technology. Drawing on his extensive research in these areas, this lecture will explore the historical development of technical cooperation between West Germany and South Korea during the Cold War and consider the multifaceted significance of this relationship.
