국제대학원 BK21 교육연구단에서 진행하는 특별 세미나를 안내드립니다.

이번 세미나에서는 독일 베를린 자유대학교(Freie Universität Berlin)의 이은정 교수님을 모시고 “유럽 속의 한국 연구 - 현황과 기회”를 주제로 강연을 진행합니다. 또한 유럽 대학 박사과정 진학과 박사 이후의 진로에 대해서도 함께 다룰 예정입니다.

• 강연자 소개: 이은정교수는 현재 베를린 자유대학교 한국학연구소 소장 겸 동아시아대학원 원장으로, 정치사상사와 정치이론, 체제변동과 정치문화에 관한 연구작업을 진행하고 있다. 2016년에 베를린-브란덴부르크학술원 (구프러시아 왕립학술원) 정회원으로 선출되었고, 2013년에는 유럽아카데미 (아카데이미아 오이로페아) 정회원으로 선출되었다. 알렉산더폰훔볼트재단 (1994-1996), 독일연방공화국 작센안할트주 (1997-1999), 저팬화운데이션 (2001-2002) 등 다양한 기관으로부터 펠로우쉽을 받았다. 한독외교안보자문위원을 역임했으며, 현재 한독통일자문호의 위원으로 활동하고 있다. 2019년에는 통일운동에 기여한 공로로 국민훈장 모란장을 받았다. 14권의 단독 저서와 130편이 넘는 연구논문을 발표했다.

We are pleased to invite you to a special seminar hosted by the BK21 Research and Education Program at GSIS.

This seminar will feature Professor Lee Eun-Jeong from Freie Universität Berlin, who will deliver a talk titled “Korean Studies in Europe: Current Status and Opportunities.” The session will also cover pathways to PhD programs in Europe and career prospects after completing a doctoral degree.

• Speaker: Prof. Eun-Jeung Lee, a University Professor with a research focus intercultural history of political ideas, is Director of Institute of Korean Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin; the Director of the Graduate School of East Asian Studies in Berlin. She is a Member of Academy of Art and Science Berlin-Brandenburg (former Prussian Royal Academy) as well as Academia Europea. Lee has served as a Member of German-Korean Advisory Council for Foreign and Unification Policy (2014-2017), since 2020 is a member of German-Korean Consultation Committee for Unification. She was Fellow of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the Institute for Political Science, University Halle (1994-1995); Fellow of State Sachsen-Anhalt Germany (1997-1999); Fellow of Japan Foundation at the Aoyama Gakuin University Tokyo (2001-2002). The South Korean Government bestowed 2019 Prof. Lee with the Order of Civil Merit (Moran Medal) for her Work in the Field of Peace and Unification. Her research focuses are intercultural history of ideas, and Korean politics and culture. She has published 14 monographs and more than 130 articles.

This seminar is open to all; however, due to limited seating, participation is restricted to those who register in advance.
