미국대사관 제9기 유스코디네이터를 모집합니다.
The Youth Coordinators (YC) are young volunteers at the U.S. Embassy Seoul. The U.S. Embassy began this volunteer program in July 2006 to engage with university students, understand the needs and priorities of young Koreans, and provide opportunities for YCs to explore U.S. society, history, and culture by planning and participating in diverse public diplomacy programs. After successfully completing one year of volunteer work as a YC (July 2014-June 2015), YCs will receive official certificates from the U.S. Embassy. YCs themselves work in tandem with the U.S. Embassy under three divisions: Planning Team, Promotion Team, and Blog Team. The YC is based out of the U.S. Embassy’s American Center Korea.

미국대사관 유스코디네이터는 미국대사관과 함께 행사를 기획하고 진행하는 대학생 자원봉사그룹입니다. 미국대사관은 2006년 제1기 유스코디네이터 선발을 시작으로 이들과 함께 미국대사관에서 주최하는 각종 공공외교 프로그램을 기획하고 진행함으로써 한국 대학생, 청소년들에게 더 가까이 다가가기 위해 노력해 왔습니다. 선발되는 미국대사관 유스코디네이터는 2014년 7월 부터, 2015년 6월까지 1년간 활동하게 되며, 활동후에는 미국대사관으로 부터 활동 증명서를 수여 받게 됩니다. 선발된 미국대사관 유스코디네이터는 기획팀, 홍보팀, 블로그팀 중 한팀에 소속되어, 용산구 남영동에 위치한 미국대사관 아메리칸센터를 기반으로 활동하게 됩니다.

for the 9th iteration of Youth Coordinators:
미국대사관은 제 9기 유스코디네이터 모집 공고를 아래와 같이 진행합니다:
자격요건:
Education: University Students (applicants must be students at a university for the entire time of their tenure as a YC).
English Proficiency: intermediate English required; advanced English preferred.
Skill and Abilities: (1) passionate and active communication skill and personalities with open minds to become a leader on the global stage. (2) multi-media and IT-related knowledge desirable.

대학생 (대학재학중인 학생으로 휴학생도 지원 가능하나, 졸업생이나 활동기간중 졸업하게 되는 학생은 지원 불가합니다.) 중급이상의 영어실력을 요하며, 상급이상의 학생에게는 선발 우선권이 주어집니다. 열정적이고 활동적이며, 국제무대에서 지도자로 성장하고 싶은 열린 마음의 소유자를 환영합니다. 멀티 미디어, IT관련 기술을 소지한 학생을 환영합니다.

선발 과정:
Application Deadline: May 31, 2014 by email AmericanCenterKorea@state.gov
Interviews: June or July
ACK will contact individually upon the 1st application screening result.
Please note that only applicants selected for actual interviews will be contacted.

Selected students are expected to engage actively in all levels of Embassy programs, including bringing their own ideas for public diplomacy programming where appropriate.
