The second Distinguished Lecture of the Asia and the World public sector series was held on Monday, April 9, 2018.
Supported by Toyota Motor Korea, the lecture entitled “ROK-U.S. Alliance: Challenges and Reponses” was presented by Ahn Ho-young, an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the USA (2013-2017).
Throughout the lecture, Mr. Ahn highlighted the importance of the security alliance between the Republic of Korea and the US, which started in 1953.
According to Mr. Ahn, since 1953, the mutual security treaty has helped the two countries to get over the challenges, has adapted itself to the new set of issues and continued to be appreciated even more in both countries.
