Chanmi Kim was selected as a "JPO"

Ms. Chanmi Kim (International Cooperation ’07) was selected as one of this year's JPOs,
having passed the exam administered by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Ms. Chanmi Kim is the GSIS’s 2nd JPO following Hyewon Lee (International Cooperation ’04) who is currently working as a program officer at the Unicef Belgium after having been selected as JPO in 2006.

What is JPO?
The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme provides young professionals pursuing
a career in International Organizations with hands-on experience. JPOs are sponsored
by their respective governments and are dispatched to an International Organization for
a period of 2 years. JPOs are assigned to work at organizations such as UNDP, UNICEF,
UNIDO, UNHCR, IAEA, UNCTAD, UNV, WHO, ILO, UNESCO, and UNFPA.
